From phpbb2 to phpbb3
I've been using phpbb2.x for about 5 to 6 years now. I've been hacked at least three times, but other than that, the open-source forum system has been good to me and my 35+ unique visitors that use the board monthly. It's been roughly 3 years since phpbb3.0 was released in late 2007 and I still hadn't upgraded. Read more »

First The Vinyl Comeback, Now Cassettes?
Cassettes were my first form of audio enjoyment. I had Billy Joel and Michael Jackson tapes at an early age and quickly grew into Guns n' Roses, Metallica, and Ozzy tapes. I'm sure I collected about 50 tapes that I played on a My First Sony mini-boom-box with one speaker, until I bit the bullet and bought a CD player.
Now I own maybe 10 cassettes, which have accumulated dust, 300+ CDs, and roughly 100 vinyl albums. I do believe that I still have a Metallica "Garage Days Re-visited" cassette, which is rather rare. Read more »
Hidden Gems: The Whitest Kids U' Know
My roommates have brought back from the dead, an old AMD Semron 3200+ computer and installed an extremely streamlined Windows XP installation to be used as a media server alongside our 60" DLP TV. Since I have Netflix I instantly added their instant play service and stumbled upon "The Whitest Kids U Know", a sketch comedy show.
We laughed instantly. Some of the best sketch comedy I've seen since "Kids in the Hall". The show is currently on IFC, but started on Fuse. You can watch teh first and second seasons on Netflix streaming service. Below is just a taste: Read more »

Several times a year, my good friends in The Dropa Stone, a Orlando based Progressive Rock Jam Band, ask me to film a set.
They recently posted Sandcastles from their December 4th show at Backbooth, Orlando. I ended up taking the first four songs, including this one, from this night and used it in their press kit DVD. Read more »
