The Very Best of Zombies

Zombies are an interesting breed. While the do not exist, they certain do cause enough stir and terror in the media. Anyone can describe and animate Zombies however they like. In Shaun of the Dead and Night of the Living Dead, they are slow, dumb, mindless beings that want to eat you. In 28 Days Later Series they are fast moving, smart, relentless creatures, that want to eat you.

I don't blame them, I'm tasty.

Below are some of my favorite pieces that feature Zombies.

Shaun of the Dead

Zombies are scary. But Shaun of the Dead made them funny, or at least less scary. This well crafted film shows the evolution of a zombie infestation, and later that zombies can provide to society in positive ways.

Zombiewalk

While I haven't participated in this, I know of a few friends that have. Zombiewalk is essentially a day dedicated for fans to dress up as a zombie, and march, slowly, down a busy street.

I can just envision a large crowd yelling "brains" every 10 paces.

Zombies in Plain English

Common Craft produced this short and humorous video called Zombies in Plain English. It is relatively straight forward, and offers a guide on what to do if you are in the middle of a impromptu zombie infestation. However it doesn't beat my next entry...

The Zombie Survival Guide

Mel Brooks' comedy certainly didn't skip a generation. His son, Max, has written two great tongue-in-cheek books about Zombies. The Zombie Survival Guide is a superlative effort in surviving such an outbreak. This detailed is humorous, realistic, and certainly worth a look.

The book features not only how to successfully run away and defend against a zombie attack, but also offers several fictitious zombie encounters in the last chapter.
